I can personally recommend white water rafting on the Sarapiqui
River.
Even though my brother and I are over 65, we were able to keep up with
the younger crewmembers. I have always wanted to do such a thing. We enjoyed
the adventure greatly.
La Fortuna is a relatively new town.
Its major attraction is the Arinal
Volcano, only a few kilometers away. In La
Fortuna, one can arrange many exciting adventures. If one enjoys
hiking, a lovely waterfall is about 4 km away by foot (horses can also
be hired to do much of the work). There are hot springs within
a 10-minute taxi drive.

The Guesthouse is connected to the Lodge by a 30 meter raised and covered walkway. A small bridge spans a creek that leads to the house. An ample deck offers its own hammock, dining table, tiled counter and sink. The heated shower is locted on the walkway connecting the lodgeand guesthouse. The shower is open to the sky beneath towering rainforest trees. Two can bathe at the same time comfortably. The house accommodates three persons in a double and twin bed. Children
over 12 years of age are welcome. The building is cantilevered
over the river as it cascades down huge boulders.The friendly iguana
likes to have her picture taken. She waits patiently for just the
